Emirates has forged a significant partnership with the Beirut Basketball Club, becoming the Official Airline and jersey sponsor for the next three seasons. This collaboration reflects Emirates’ commitment to supporting basketball in Lebanon and the broader region, tapping into the sport’s immense popularity.
To mark this alliance, Emirates and the Beirut Basketball Club inaugurated their partnership with a special media event at a co-branded basketball court where the club trains and plays its season games.
Tamador Kouatly, Regional Manager Levant for Emirates Airline, expressed the airline’s commitment to Lebanon and the passionate basketball fans. The partnership coincides with the club’s participation in regional and international tournaments, and the start of its season with players proudly wearing jerseys emblazoned with ‘Emirates Fly Better.’ The airline also aims to inspire young talents and boost grassroots basketball activities.
Nadim Hakim, Beirut Basketball Club President, noted the club’s pride in having Emirates as its main sponsor, emphasizing the shared objective of impacting communities positively and nurturing young talents.
Emirates will receive various sponsorship rights, including prominent logo placement on player jerseys, court branding, TV exposure, digital and social media activation, player access, and game ticket allocation. The partnership encompasses the Men’s and Women’s teams, as well as support for the U-18 and academy teams, fostering talent development.
The Beirut Basketball Club was formed in 2016 to promote inclusion in Lebanese sports, and Emirates has been a steadfast supporter of basketball since 1991. The airline has also sponsored the Dubai International Basketball Championship for nearly three decades and supported the staging of the FIBA World Championship in the UAE in 2014.
Emirates‘ partnership with the Beirut Basketball Club underscores its commitment to sports and communities across the globe.
