MA Ashraf Ali, the Executive Director of Lulu Group International, has shed light on the substantial human resource requirement that comes hand in hand with this venture. With an ambitious target of launching over 50 theaters, each facility will necessitate a workforce of 25 to 30 individuals to manage property affairs. This aggregates to a significant demand for up to 1,500 staff members to effectively operate the cinemas.
The partnership between Line Investments & Property and Star Cinemas has yielded tangible results, with an additional 22 screens integrated into Star Cinemas’ existing tally of 76. This notable accomplishment was commemorated by esteemed figures such as MA Ashraf Ali and Ahmad Golchin, the Founder and Chairman of Phars Film & Stars Cinema, among other prominent executives.
This strategic partnership has elevated Star Cinemas to the esteemed status of being the second-largest cinema operator in the UAE, as measured by the count of screens. The expansion blueprint is set to unfold progressively, with the imminent launch of three screens at Al Raha Mall, nine screens at Al Wahda Mall, six screens at Al Foah Mall, and four screens at Barari Outlet Mall in September 2023.
However, the scope of this expansion isn’t confined to Abu Dhabi alone. The plan extends to include the introduction of Star Cinemas at Dubai Silicon Oasis Mall, Sharjah Central Mall, and RAK Mall in Ras Al Khaimah.
