The much-awaited Yarn Expo 2023, organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Southern Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industry Development Centre, kicked off with great enthusiasm. The three-day event was inaugurated on Friday, witnessing the presence of esteemed dignitaries from the textile and other sectors.
In his address during the inauguration, Ramesh Vaghasiya, the President of SGCCI, emphasized the importance of the exhibition in providing valuable insights into the latest technology for textile unit owners. This marks the fifth edition of Yarn Expo, boasting the participation of over 90 exhibitors from across the country, showcasing their finest products.
Girdhar Gopal Mundra, Chairman of the exhibition, shared details about the wide range of yarn varieties exhibited at the event and anticipated the participation of more than 20,000 buyers and visitors.
The theme pavilion for this year’s exhibition is Surat Fort, showcasing the city’s rich maritime history when flags from 84 countries adorned different ships at the port.
During the event, the exhibitor guide was launched, providing comprehensive information to navigate through the expo. Additionally, the dates for next year’s Yarn Expo were unveiled, scheduled to be held from December 14, 2024.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Suresh Sodani, MD of Century Enka Limited; Shirani Ariyarathne, Commercial Minister at the Deputy High Commission, Sri Lanka, and Mumbai; Pravin Pansuria, President of Clinical Data Solution LLC, USA; Tarun Sharma, Indian Subcontinent Officer at the Government of Umm AL Quwain, Free Trade Zone Authority, UAE, and Prashant Patel, Secretary of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
