The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) celebrated the successful completion of specialized training courses by students participating in the Job Shadow Program. Led by experienced media professionals and administrative staff, the program aims to equip students with essential expertise and prepare them for the job market.
In the first half of 2023, a total of 387 students from 14 national and international colleges and universities participated in the training program, which offered a combination of remote and in-person training to maximize its impact.
The students represented 32 countries, including the UAE and various other nations from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and beyond. The participating educational institutions included renowned universities such as the Higher Colleges of Technology, the American University of Sharjah, and the University of Sharjah.
Huda Al Dah, Manager of the Training Department, highlighted the program’s growing popularity among students and emphasized its success in helping them achieve their career goals by providing them with practical skills and professional excellence.
Aisha Al Kaabi, Head of the Training Programs Department, emphasized the comprehensive training approach of the Job Shadow Program, which empowers students to develop their competencies and potential through practical assignments and guidance from experienced professionals.
The Job Shadow Program serves as a valuable opportunity for students to gain practical experience and learn from media experts and SGMB staff, aligning with Sharjah’s commitment to supporting students and youth in their educational and professional journeys.
