Ron Sexton, the radio personality and comedian known for his portrayal of “Donnie Baker” on “The Bob & Tom Show,” has sadly passed away at the age of 52.
The announcement of Sexton’s death was made by his family through a heartfelt post on his “Donnie Baker” Facebook page on Saturday.
The post reads, “It is with immense sadness that we let everyone know that Ron Sexton passed away yesterday. He was Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us. Please respect our privacy at this time and pray for our family.”
Tom Griswold, co-star of “The Bob & Tom Show,” confirmed Sexton’s passing in a Facebook post on The Bob & Tom Facebook page. Griswold mentioned that Sexton, who was originally from Indianapolis, was on a comedy tour in Ohio when he passed away.
Earlier this week, the Dayton Funny Bone Facebook page promoted Sexton’s upcoming performances on Friday and Saturday, July 21 and 22. However, the promotional post has since been deleted.
