Emirates, renowned as the world’s premier international airline, is marking an illustrious ten years of its non-stop flight route between Milan and New York. This route, initiated in 2013, has seen more than 1.8 million travelers aboard its flights, facilitating vital connections between these two vibrant commercial and tourist hubs.

Conceived in response to a surging demand to unite Italy and the United States, this daily flight has not only bridged these two nations but has also fostered mutual benefits. Over 6,000 flights in both directions have not only met the underserved demand but have also significantly contributed to the essential trade and tourism ties, thereby bolstering both economies.

As Emirates concludes a successful decade of service between the “Fashion Capital of the World” and the most frequented city in the United States, the airline’s flights have transported more than 37,000 tons of cargo between Milan and New York. Italy’s exports, ranging from clothing, food products, to jewelry, have found their way to global markets through these flights. From the U.S., commodities such as apparel, textiles, spare parts, and various industrial chemicals have been frequently shipped to Italy. Annually, Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s freight division, assists in exporting nearly 4,000 tons of cargo between these two gateways, underlining Emirates’ dedication to supporting local economies and businesses in both countries.
