Cricket fever is about to reach its pinnacle as Emirates, the Global Partner of the International Cricket Council (ICC), once again dons the mantle of Official Airline Partner for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The tournament, a thrilling extravaganza of cricket, will unfold across India from October 5th to November 19th.
To mark the beginning of the 13th edition of this prestigious cricketing event, Emirates has released an engaging video featuring Dinesh Karthik, the renowned Indian wicketkeeper-batsman. In this light-hearted clip, Dinesh Karthik can be seen enjoying the live cricket action on Emirates’ inflight entertainment system from the comfort of Premium Economy. Premium Economy seats will soon be available on Emirates routes to Mumbai and Bangalore starting October 29th.

This year’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be hosted across ten cities in India, gathering ten teams from various cricket-playing nations, including the defending champions, England. They will battle fiercely to seize the coveted Cricket World Cup Trophy, which has already found its way to India in anticipation of the tournament.
The tournament’s first 45 matches are scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Dharmshala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai. The semi-finals will be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Eden Gardens in Kolkata, with the grand finale set for November 19th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, known as the largest sports stadium globally, with a colossal seating capacity of 132,000 spectators.
