As Saturday dawns, the UAE prepares for scorching weather conditions as the mercury is anticipated to soar to a maximum of 50°C. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) alerts residents to exercise caution when venturing outdoors.
The NCM predicts predominantly sunny to partly cloudy skies across the UAE. While low clouds may emerge over the eastern coast in the morning, there is a possibility of rain-bearing clouds forming towards the east and south during the afternoon.
Certain areas of Abu Dhabi reported foggy conditions this morning, prompting the issuance of a yellow alert by the NCM until 8:30 a.m. to warn of limited visibility.
The evening is expected to bring a surge in humidity levels, which could result in the formation of fog and mist, particularly over select western regions, including Abu Dhabi. The maximum humidity is projected to reach 90 percent.
Winds are forecasted to be intermittent, blowing at a speed ranging from 10 to 25 km/h. At times, gusts could intensify to reach speeds of up to 40 km/h.
While the average temperatures are anticipated to hover in the high 30s, the day’s highs could skyrocket to 50°C, while the lows may drop to 27°C. Presently, Dubai is experiencing 34°C temperatures under clear skies.
Conditions in the Arabian Gulf are predicted to remain relatively calm.
